What happens at a speed dating event?
​
Check-in: You're greeted by a hostess who gives you a date card. You’ll use this to jot down impressions and make your match choices throughout the night.
​
You’ll have around 15 mini-dates, each lasting about 5 minutes.
These quick chats are just enough time to get a vibe and decide if you’d like to see someone again
​
There’s a midway break so you can refresh your drink, relax a bit, and maybe chat casually with other attendees at the bar.
​
At the end of the dating, complete your date card and hand this back to your Hostess.  You will receive your result the following day via email.
​
If you both tick 'yes' this creates a love match and your details will be exchanged.  If you both tick 'friend' then a friend match will be created and your details will be exchanged.  If one ticks 'yes' and the other ticks 'friend' this creates a cross match and details will be exchanged.  If either party ticks 'no' on the date card then no details are exchanged.  Your details are held securely and will not be exchanged with anyone else.

We hold events at Be At One Bar in Birmingham, Piccadilly Arcade, B2 4BJ.  This is a lovely, cosy cocktail bar opposite New Street Train Station (Stephenson Street exit).  We have exclusive use of a separate room at the rear of the bar.  Be At One are specialists in cocktails and their range include new releases 'Peachy Blinder' 'Golden Goose' and 'Bit of Me' as well as the more familiar Pornstar Martinis, Mojitos, Tom Collins and Strawberry Dakaris - for the menu click here.  The venue is open until late with music so feel free to stay after the event for a dance and continue chatting to your new found friends.

We split the events into demographical areas and age groups so you have the best possible chance of a match.  The age groups are a guideline so do not worry if you are just outside the age range - you are most welcome to attend.
